Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki was an American political adviser who was the 34th White House press Secretary between 2021 and 2022. As a member in the Democratic Party, she was previously the White House deputy presses secretary (2009-2011); White House deputy director of communications director(2009-2011) and spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013)-2015; and White House communications director (2015)-2017. Psaki was a CNN political contributor from 2017 until 2020. Psaki began her professional career in 2001 when she worked on the re-election campaigns for Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki then became the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's presidential campaign. Psaki was also the director of communications for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) and as regional press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 to the field of political communications serving as the press secretary of President Obama’s 2012 election campaign. In the year 2000, Psaki was named the spokesperson of the United States Department of State. It was believed that she would replace Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21However, Josh Earnest was announced to replace Carney on May 30, 2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 to become the communications director. She remained with the Obama administration until its end.
