Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born on March 4th, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress, comedian, and writer. O'Hara has been awarded a range of awards including the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also received two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was appointed an Officer of Canada. In the year 2020, she was awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Performing Arts Artistic Achievement Award. O'Hara was first noticed as an actress while she was a part of The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. Together with John Candy (1975-1978), she was part of the primary casting in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara as well as Candy began working in Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara won the Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for her outstanding writing for a Variety Series. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the newly formed Second City artistic advisory board which was headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
